Hello everyone, and welcome to episode 4 of Brain Food, where I review Huntress, the prequal to Ash written by Malinda Lo.

I hope that everyone likes the review and goes to read the book, as it’s a wonderful story with great characters that deserves to be read.

I also highly recommend going to her website and reading the section she has on the Asianness within Huntress, or its lack thereof. It’s a really interesting piece on authour and reader interpretation of work. In the end, I prefer to view the characters as Asian, much as I like making Shepard in the Mass Effect series a black woman.
